I experience what you described. The springs probably aren't holding the pad to the caliper.
If the springs went on easily then you didn't install them correctly in my experience.
I bought a brake kit aftermarket springs from a site sponsor. I could not get the new springs to work. Used my old ones with no problems.
Good luck! You can probably see if the spring is correctly installed if you have an open wheel. The outer ends of the spring have to slip over the part of the brake caliper that holds the pads.
