I have a T5 (197K miles) not a T7 engine.
I'm assuming it's idling fine and just dies when you shift for the first time.
Does it happen if you let it idle for a while (minute or more) and/or once you get the car moving?
When it happens to me, (usually worse when cold), cleaning the throttle body and the idle air controller clears it up. The short term 'fix' is to let the engine idle for a minute or so before driving.
If it's stumbling while idling, I'd look at the vacuum lines and the EVAP purge valve.
