Hi Tulupman,
In June 1997 we picked up our brand new Saab 900 SE Turbo at our Saab dealership.
Now almost 18 years and 170.000 miles later we still own and drive this Saab without any problems and with a lot if fun.
Next to the NG900 we also own two 9-3's: a hatchback MY2001 and a convertible MY2000.
In comparison to our MY2001 9-3, the engines and turbos of our convertible and our NG900 give in our experience less problems. The clutch is in our both hand shifted 9-3's better than in our MY1997 NG900 cable clutch. Saab changed the clutch for the MY1998 NG900 into the 9-3 style clutch.
Our NG900 still is serviced/maintained by our Saab dealership and only Saab original parts are used for these service intervals and repairs/replacements.
We have the intention to drive with our NG900 another 170.000 miles.
In advance lots of fun with your NG900 SE Turbo ;-)
