...as I can't remember the exact error code I got on mine, but from time to time over the last year, I get an error code with it trying to load and play a disc. In my case the problem seemed to be do to dirt/grime/oil getting on the rough surface (thin layer of cork?) where the player "grabs" the center of the disk to spin it. When that became dirty or slick the CD would slip as it got up to rotational speed and without maintaining a constant speed, the player could not read the disc and threw the error. (If you keep the sliding door open you can kind of watch this happen.)
What worked for me was take a thin, soft cloth and while not having a CD in the player reach in with my index finger try and gently rub that rough surface where it grabs around the hole in the center of the disc. Key is to try and clean any grime or something that will lesson the friction that helps it grip the disc. Cleaning it in that way seems to fix it for me.
A longer term fix would be, I guess, to replace that part but that would involve opening up the CD changer and a more detailed repair.
