will a "P1312" code reset itself? Posted by kenS [Email] (#606) [Profile/Gallery] (more from kenS) on Sat, 1 Jul 2017 17:20:14 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
'02 Viggen, OBD2 question: the dash check engine symbol came on this morning on startup, but then after a restart everything seems ok (no dash warning lights, no SID messages). Car drives normally, etc. I connected a code reader, it shows a single error P1312, the 9-3 & 9-5 archives all suggest a DIC problem. My question is, will this "pending" error code get cleared automatically after a few drives, or do I need to clear the stored codes with a OBD reader? And if I do that, what sort of drive will I have to take to reset the various readiness codes? I have a new DIC, but I thought I would wait to see if the error recurs before changing it out... old DIC has about 70K miles.
