I respectfully disagree. KBB and NADA (etc) will give you an idea what people pay for a similar car with similar mileage and condition from dealers or private parties. You can adjust from there for a car that is exceptional or has recent work or a car that is the opposite.
Sure, sellers most always "go high"... but asking more that twice what a car is worth? Walk away, that seller will never negotiate realistically.
