Tasteful Viggen Engine Bling Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 30 Aug 2018 17:19:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We just spent the evening at the last of the local Thursday Night Cars Shows for 2018. Lots of '40s - '50s custom cars, lots of '60s muscle cars, and a few current model Hi-Po vehicles. No SAABs this week. One thing common on almost all cars is bling in the engine compartment.
I was trying to think what bling pieces are available for the Viggen. Polished turbo inlet pipe and polished larger down pipe are what first came to mind. Each is actually a performance improvement too.
A polished turbo heat shield would be engine bling with no performance change. Likewise for polishing the Viggen name and logo on the valve cover. A polished metal TB Inlet Pipe would be non-functional bling. Works, but not as well as the black plastic tube.
Maybe a stronger and polished cowl brace. Obviously a polished FMIC peeking out from beneath the bumper would add Bling but might cross the line out of being tasteful.
Other suggestions to add attractiveness and intrigue to the Viggen engine compartment without screaming "Boy Racer" too loud?
