Bernie,
I cut the clamp adn still could not find any cuts inside or outside the boot. So, I cleaned out as much of the old light brown stuff and packed with new grease and put on a new clamp. After just a small test drive no new grease in the engine bay. My question, what should the old grese look like? This is the orginal boot and grease after 158K miles.
