Ah, you have a Maptune stage 3. So thats about the same as I have. To upgrade and raise the collective Saab knowledge would require, in my opinion, a twin scroll turbine housing (Garrett GTX2867R gen 2), tubular exhaust manifold for a twin scroll with an external waste gate (SAS Custom UK). It would also be nice if you upgrded to a limited slip diff (Quafe), and/or the manual six speed diesel transmission (Nordic Canada). You can also go the Holset route with exact specs found at SeriousSaab.com (also UK). Anything past stage four tends to be a subjective excersize in opionins, conjecture, and myth most likely requiring custom tuning by knowledgable people (Genuine Saab and/or Mike Ds/Map Tune/ Nordic) or a large budget for experimintation carried out by yourself and the T7 Forum. I would say either go the Garrett route because the turbo maps are available (not so for Holset) and it fits in the stock location or rely on an experienced tuner and their recomendation for a price $$. A good starting point would be to look at Squaab 99s twin scroll turbo build at SaabRally.com (car porn at its best) then do the math and see what turbo hits your goals. I would certainly like to see a twin scroll turbo build. I've considered it but, as I have said, a twin scroll turbine housing is not available for a TD04.
