From what I've heard, Safelite uses their own glass, and it's almost always made in China, but that's the case with most aftermarket windshields these days. You can still get the factory glass if you want it badly enough. Saab currently has 4 of them in the country right now, but a windshield is $574.82 from them.

It never hurts to call up a local glass shop and see what they can get. They ought to be able to tell you. I haven't looked into a windshield for my 1997 900 for a while, but for my 9-5s, all local shops can get these days are Fuyao or XYZ (both Chinese) brand windshields. Pilkington was an option, but they seem to be gone now. I ended up one Fuyao and one XYZ windshield on my two 9-5s, and they're indistinguishable from the factory glass, other than the manufacturer markings. My NG900 is due for a new windshield very soon, though.
