Sadly, it looks like the Centric MCs for the 9-3 are actually made by in Italy by Metelli. (The rubber gaskets are different colors, but if you look carefully at the photos at the Centric site and at photos of the Metellis, they are otherwise identical, including both having the number 388199 molded onto the cylinder.) Looking at some images online, I think the older 9-3 Centrics (and the current one for the Viggen) might have been ATE.
Interestingly, Centric's parent company, First Brands Group, own not only Centric but also Cardone, Raybestos, Carlson, and IBI, but *not* Metelli.
My current inclination is to avoid a pull, since seals seem to be the thing that fails in these MCs and any pull will be from a car over 20 years old. The shortage of ATEs among dealers (except the SAAB-branded ones for over $500) is messing with my usual policy of buying highest-quality replacements for safety-critical parts.
