I've gone 150 mph downhill with our '96 9000 2.0 LPT 150hp (top-speed on level surface 138mph), but that was after traveling for 20 minutes with the speeder to the floor....
Just don't do it on a road with any side-roads, and if you have to brake at those speeds be careful, because the rear end becomes very light.
