I have a 94 900 V6. I bought it about six months ago in mint condition with 48k miles for under ten grand.

Many on this BB will complain about the V6 because the timing belts must be changed every 30k. Saab will cover the cost on the timing belt replacement at 35k, 65k, and 95k; therefore, I do not see this as a big deal.

I was looking at the highly respected 2.8L 12v VR6 Passats, and then I stumbled across the Saab 2.5L 24v V6. I found the Saab (GM) engine to be quicker (24v vs. 12v), and the car to all around more fun to drive. I have put 12k miles on the car, and I have enjoyed it thoroughly.

All that said, I would opt for a NG900/9-3 turbo next time. The Saab turbo is tried and true, and the options for modification are plenty and cheap.
