Kevin O - Some people might tell you to take it to the dealer and have them readjust the settings. I imagine there is a fee. However... there are (at least on my '97 900 S) two "sweet spots" on the settings dial. They both lye dead center between the center setting, and the left or right settings. It took a few tries to become adept enough to put the dial exactly in the right place, but if you get behind a vehicle that shines back your headlights, you can maneuver your dial until you see the lights come off. I recommend this as opposed to getting it shut off permanently for two reasons. First of all its free, second, you may have a need for the running lights in the future. One thing (this is not really an issue because you only do this in the daytime) is that in addition to losing your running lights, the dash illumination turns off also. I only know this because I am in the military and when entering a base it is a courtesy to turn off your lights for the gate guard. Good luck and let me know if it works for you.
