I had to replace my valve cover gasket and there is another oil leak which will be looked at this week. My traction control system will disengage when driving on the highway for awhile and occasionally around town. I think it is a throttle body motor issue. When I had my timing belt changed, the tensioner pulleys were dysfunctional so I had to replace them. Just replace the wiper fluid pump. When I bought the car there were several things that did not work: drivers seat heater, antenna, light switch broken, valve cover was cracked. Currently the car is listing to the drivers side by approx 1/2" and the right side upper shock bearing appears to be going bad. So, I just bought lowering springs and sport shocks since they have to dismantle them anyway to replace that bearing.
Yes, this has been quite a few repairs but the car now has 127k and I do expect some things to fail over time. There is no question that these cars are more maintenance intensive but they are fun and I like the design and features. By the way, only a few of these issues actually have to do with the V6 itself. Many of them are just Saab issues. If you have any specific issues, I am sure I have left some repairs out, let me know. I have a great mechanic and he is very helpful.
