I am an Air Force NCO and I bought my 900S in Germany. It is exactly like every other American Spec 900 that I have seen. No modifications were required either in Germany or upon return to the States. Service was readily available in the Kaiserslautern/Baumholder area and should be the same near any other US installations. The car was a blast on the Autobahn, rock steady at 100MPH+ and my average speed over the 3 years and 50K miles I drove the car there was in excess of 80 MPH. If your intention is to sell your car there because it's old, you would probably be better off selling it here and buying something when you get to Germany. BMW, Volvo and SAAB all have very good sales programs geared toward active duty military with better prices than you can get in the States. If however you really love your car and are worried about it being good enough to drive and being able to get service, don't let it bother you. Take the car and enjoy it in the kind of enviroment it was meant for. One change you might want to make is to buy european tires after you get there, their asphalt formulation more abrasive than ours and will eat up tires like the Michelin MXV4s(not sold in Germany) that came on the car. BTW the car was also great in the snow
