Living in eastern Ontario and having driven 4 cylinder cars/truck of various manufacture (Mazda, Nissan, Saab), I have found a 15% - 20% drop in mileage when the cold weather hits, e.g., on my 1996 900S the May-Oct avg is 36-39MPG (IMP Gallons!) and the Nov-Apr is avg 30-37, my son's 1994 900S V6 doesn't suffer as much of a drop and we both do similar type of driving. Strange though is the 1987 900T convertible (2.0L) gets great summer mileage if I keep the boost down, its tucked away in its garage for the winter so cold weather mileage is unknown!
