Installed one on my '99 9-3 5-door last summer, can't say if there is enough similarity for me to be of any help. I will say this, I don't think I'd ever install another one of these...way more involved than I'd expected. Really hated having to drill holes into the trunk floor. Instructions were quite vague and I really had to figure out the wiring stuff on my own. Most is actually pretty straight forward once you know what you're doing, however there is one tricky part. You actually have to run the purple wire to the front of the car and splice (yes, cut apart your vehicle's wiring) it into the purple brake activation wire in one of the harnesses at the driver's feet. I really don't understand why this is necessary considering all the other connections that are made with simple plug-in harnesses in the trunk. Let me know if you're looking for any more specific advice...
