upgrading the ability of the maniac behind the wheel! Look into doing a few autocross or closed course driving school events (similar to the Viggen Flight Acadamy). They ARE NOT racing, but you learn alot about how your car handles; i.e. what it is capable of. If nothing else you will then have an idea what areas you want to improve.
I would predict that the car is capable of more than you are ( that goes for 99% of the people driving cars). When I got my Saab, I looked into what upgrades were available. Then I went to a BMW car club driving school and realized that my ability wasn't even close to the cars. It wasn't until my third school that I was able to consistantly maximize the tires grip (the 4 point harnesses really helped keep my butt from siding all over the seat).
Now I did end up upgrading the suspension some, but I feel I had a better sense of what I wanted to accomplish and what I was willing to compromise to get it.
