The shake-- does it seem like a "pulse" in the brake pedal, or does the whole front end shimmy? If it's a brake pulse, sounds like warped rotors at first blush. If so, there are maybe 2 things that would cause that with new rotors/pads-- either the wheel lug nuts weren't torqued on evenly- warping the rotors, or you have a seized caliper piston that has overheated them. Also, there have been instances of new rotors being warped- out of the box. Did you have any symptoms before the brake job? Try re-torquing the lug nuts (in 2 stages, and to spec) as a cheap first fix. Then, sniff around your front wheels after a sustained drive to see if there's a pungent, acrid burning smell-- that would be a burning pad from a seized caliper. Feel the rims near the center hub to see if one is noticeably warmer than the other.
If it's a whole front end shake, could be a bad suspension bushing, tie rod end, strut mount.... you name it. I'm sure there are other posters that have experience with this.
BTW- how many miles??
