Pretty simple actually...... I used a screwdriver with a cloth around it and simply pryed the thing off. It doesn't take much effort and it didn't scratch the paint at all. Be sure when you replace it with your new one to add some kind of adhesive to the back of it to help hold it. It has two small prongs that guide the badge into the hood.
