The Saab P/N 48-18-050 is for the driver's side (in the USA) wide angle (aspheric) mirror. It is the mirror only, which includes the defroster grid on the back of the mirror. It is easy to replace the current mirror by just carefully prying off the current mirror, disconnecting the two defroster wire, connecting the new mirror wires, and then pushing the new mirror on until it snaps in place. The mirrors are held into the side mirror assembly by a plastic 'snap' ring on the back of the mirror.
Many people have had good luck ordering from their local dealer. I ordered mine from Kentish Saab in England. The typical price is about USD $100.
