Fog lights...... has anyone tried this?

I've read recent posts about removing the fog lights by having to remove the bottom panel from the car. However, today I removed my front headlight and cornering light(takes about three minutes), and I noticed that the bulb seems fairly accesable through the opening once the headlight is removed. I could easily gain access to what seemed like an aiming adjustment screw and a wire that went straight into the rear of the housing. I didn't attempt to remove it though. The bulb is fine for now, so I didn't feel like breaking something that isn't broke just yet. Has anyone tried this?
Thanks!
Tom W
