I had a Saab 900S, 1995, by about 100.000 miles it began to shake about 90 mph. I tried all kind of balancing, also on the car, and even changed the tires. nothing helped. It took me months. I found help here and in Haynes manual. The problem was the CV joints where the axle goes into the gearbox. It turned out to be so damaged they had to take off the gearbox.
It costed med about 1500 USD.
This solved 90% of the vibration. You can check it by yourselve. if you pull hard in the axle you can feel if it is worn, it wobbles slightly. Remember there are three joints, because there is also a center-axle under the engine, to ensure the moving axles to the wheel are of equal length.

However there was some small vibrations left. I took it back to the dealer, and after testing he said the "steering rod" is it called so? was worn. You can easyly by yourselv check if something is wrong in the steering assembly. Ask a person to very fast move the steering wheel about an inch from side to side back and forth again and again, and put a hand on the tyre and you can feel a slip in the steering rod, or in some other part of the assembly.
It would cost again 1500USD. Instead I sold the car.
