Note on replacement bulbs for tail light/brake light

I have witnessed a NG900 and a 9kCS with slightly melted tail light lenses. In the case of the 9k, it appears that the cause MAY have been due to the ues of an 1157 (STD US 2 element) bulb. It may also have been the cause in teh NG900 as well. Is it possible that these bulbs have a higher wattage than the OE bulb or are longer than the OE bulb (which Sylvania lists as a 7528 or 7506, available at most parts stores). Regardless, if the taillight is dimpled, it could be due to this or possibly that the bulb holder has come apart allowing the bulb to become closer to the lens. To maintain proper operation, it is best to replace them in pairs and also with the correct bulb.
