Hey Chris-
I also ran 4 gauge power wire in my '95 SETC. It was fairly easy. If you're standing in front of the car, look about 6-8 inches to the left of the relay box on the firewall. There is a rubber grommet about an inch in diameter about 10-12" down. If you pull the carpet inside the car on the driver's side (and the rubber/insulation layer, you'll have a straight shot at it. Cut a "+" into the grommet, and it will seal itself, or put some clear silicone on after the wire's through.
I'm sure it's a little different in the convertible, but I ran under the factory door sills, and then under the side holes in the rear seat support to the trunk. Again, easier in this car than some others. It almost looks like they left room for thick power wire. Just use a bunch of cable ties, and remember to route your signal cables on the other side of the car so they don't pickup interference.
Check out Richard Bevan's site in the FAQ's section of this site. Pretty good basic info. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
By the way, what are you going to be running?? I have three Soundstream Reference amps (200,300, and 500) to my Diamond Audio Hex components, and my single 12" Eclipse aluminum subwoofer. Even though I was concerned with the extra current consumption, it never misses a beat, or dims the headlights, even at close to full volume. Not bad for the ORIGINAL factory SAAB battery, and alternator.
Good luck, and let us know how it works out.
Rahul
