Broken Visor and How I fixed it

My wife broke the passengers side visor last week.
I didn't think gluing it was going to work, so I removed the bracket that attaches to the car, and took a look. Well the design is pretty poor, the plastic arm is weak, so it's no wonder it broke.
So how did I fix it. Well I drilled a hole in the part still attached to the visor and a corresponding hole in the part still attached to the mounting bracket. I then bought a double shank screw (??). This looks like two screws glued together. I then screwed on side into the visor part and then just started screwing the mounting bracket on.
It works very well, and you can't see that it ever broke.
