The reason that I said "screwing around", it's a long story.... after the engine failed I had it towed to BRI import where they searched for the engine, at the same time I did some searching myself. They were going to get the engine from a place about 30 miles north, I called the place incidently myself and they quoted me $1350 for the price, and if I let them handle the job it could be done for $1750 total(including labor). BRI, couldn't come close to that price and being a student my funds are apparently limited. I choose to goto the place 30 miles north, they told me it would take them about 2 days to turn the car around(even better since I would be needing a rental in the mean time). Well, after a couple of days I got "the run around". They only had one mechanic and he was busy on a more important job....2 weeks later in the rental and after repeated phone calls, they told me that the engine they had was the wrong kind (a 2.3 liter). Needless to say I was furious(but, I tried to sound somewhat calm). I ended up finding a motor myself ($1600) and had it shipped directly to them. Now, they are working on it and hopefully will have it done by tomorrow. I called the owner, and he told me that the estimate for labor would go up, because I supplied the part.... I'm really biting my tongue now, not only have they had my car for about a month now, but they cost me $700 in a rental that I had planned on having for only a few days, I gave them every chance in the world to get a motor and finally had it done myself. Why didn't I have it towed to another place, well...... he said that he would have to charge me to tow it somewhere else(he's already 45 miles away). I'm already hurting for cash and just figured I'd have to bite the bullet, and that they would be fair. I'm afraid that when I show up tomorrow they are going to hit me with a bill that is outrageous. This is also delaying me going home, I'm pretty much done with flight school here and I'm just waiting on my car, they know that my nuts are on a platter. I'd hate to turn this into a legal matter, but if I do...... do I have anything to go on, the guys at BRI can verify the events that took place, I should of left it for them in the first place. My hands are tied for now though. Any legal input would be of great value to me also....... thanks for your help guys, I'm ready to return to this board with my petty "broken antenna problems" or whatever.

Thanks,
twflys
