is the clutch cable needs a little adjustment. It is supposed to be self-adjusting but sometimes it needs a little help. BTW, I adjusted mine Monday and all is right again. Before, I had trouble getting into first, second and third gear; the shifting was even sloppier that usual. Also, I couldn't get the car in reverse without turning off the engine first; the tranny would just grind gears. Now the shifter feels almost as good as the BMW.
First, you remove the plastic nut that holds the fuse box to the engine compartment. The nut is next to the firewall and left hand edge of the engine compartment. You will need a 10mm socket and a 6" extension. With the nut removed, pull up the black rubber trim on the fire wall about a foot. Then lift the fuse box up and out of the way. Underneath the fusebox is the clutch cable, there is a long spring (about 6") covering the cable. Grab this spring and push/pull it forward and backward several times. This will remove the slack in the clutch cable.
