need some advice

I'm looking for some advice here... How much different of a car would a 2002 9-3 be compared to a 97 900? Here's my dilemma... I have a 97 900 right now, and I really like it. But I don't plan on keeping it forever. The 2003 9-3 will be a shared GM platform (Opel and Saturn will use the same platform), and I'm fairly certain that the 2003 models will have a very different feel. With that said, it seems like 2002 is the last possible year to buy a new Saab before my only option is a Sweedish Chevy. So, should I trade in my 97 now while it still has some value yet?
