Depends on your definition of "wear out". If you mean break or sag, they will last a long time (assuming normal use). If you mean "function less well than when new" they will "wear out". Over time, due to carrying constant weight and flexing, the ride (compression characteristics) of springs will gradually change. This is similar to shocks, but much less pronounced.
