If you look at the tip of the prong, it have the same shape/radius as the center electrode. That's why it is not possible to use a regular flat feelergauge to gap the plug because the feeler gauge would measure between the highest points of electrode and prongtips resulting in a way to big gap.
What you need is a cylindrical shaped gauge with the inner diameter the same as the center electrode and a wall thickness of the recommended gap.
