The install went well. No need for stands or jacks. The bumper assy comes off really easy. Two 16mm bolts, two torx screws in the fender lip and two 8mm heads below. Unhook the washer lines to the lamp washers and the main line up at a tee up past the battery.
Cutting a nice opening in the filler panel at the rad took a while. The plasic is bery hard, and heat resistant, and brittle. I used a dremel tool, as I could not find my nibbler tool. The filler panel comes out so that helps. I also made a filler for the LH side to work with the slush gasket that is there. I extened the top if the LH turbo hose with a chunk cut from the old aluminum hard pipe and around 2" from one of the old rubber elbows. I used two clamps for the end of the aluminum pipe that does not have a retaining bead.
The only time that I had to crawl under the engine was to get the hose in. It is quite the job. You have to get very forceful and roll it from the front. Getting the ID end on is a struggle to. With the filler panel installed but loose, not snapped in, you can get to the clamp very nicely with a 6" extension on the 7mm socket. When tighening the turbo end, be sure that you get the clamp level all the way as you take up the slack, or the band can be quite crooked. You can index the clamp towards 45 degrees to the RHS of front to get more swing in your 1/4" drive socket wrench.
I have the MBC tapped into throttle body right now as I lost my pressure tap that I had in the old IC's integral returm tube. So I may have to adjust the MBC.
First inpressions... seems more powerful, definately hear more of the turbo, can't figger out why. I just did a short drive around the burbs to see if I could put the tools away and wash up. Have not had a chance to run it hard yet.
