Dean there is only heavy cable and small gauge green wire connected to the alternator, and what gets me is that there is a small push-on terminal,it could be for testing ? But I looked around and I didn't find any loose wires hanging arond alternator. I found boundle of wires like you mentioned, but these wires come from some place else and go to some other place. I think I'll take my car to a mechanic.
One more thing, you have to be a magician to take an alternator out or you need a lift to do it.
