The SID2->SID3 is an easy swap out - takes less than minute to swap the two units. When you first restart the car with the new SID3, you'll get a "SET CLOCKS" in the display. Set the regular analogue clock first, then set the digital one - it's easier that way. Then you have to drive about 20 miles or so, to let the new SID learn the fuel data characteristics of your car. But like I said, no dealer prorgramming needed.
The ACC is a horse of a different color. Because of all the extra sensors and servo-motors used in the air distribution system, it's just not possible to do. The main vehicle wiring loom is different, and it's not possible to easily add the necessary components. That's one you're stuck with for now.
You DO have the boasting rights of having a "non-standard" 900S model, as a SID3 in a non-turbo, non-V6 NG900 was not even an option for North American models.
I got my SID3 a few years ago on ebay in 1999 - probably when the vast majority of NG 900s were still under factory warranty. Apparently the part from the dealer costs in the hundreds of dollars, but I picked this thing up for $30+shipping - and I was the ONLY bidder at the time too.
Good luck!
