Some good reading at this link.
So brakes need to be run in hard when new. Not what we have been told in the past. You need to get them stinking hot! And don't hold the brakes clamping the pads to the rotors after a hard brake run, especially when running in new pads.
Getting the rotors hot enough to make them turn blue will seem very radical to most.
This seems more critical for the carbon/kelar type pads. Sounds like the complaints of a few with warped rotors using EBC Greenstuff pads.
When I installed new rotors and EBCs, the initail friction was very low and I did a lot of brake runs until things got cooking and then the friction really increased. Sound like I was doing the right thing, but perhaps I did not get things as hot as I should.
