Tire Chains/Cables

Since I weened myself off my 4wd toyota truck (and Suby wagon before that) I want to keep a pair of chains or cables with me for "emergencies". The saab with snows is pretty damn good and much safer than the above, but we all know that there are times when nothing beats 4wd.
Any recommendations for chains or cables for use in Vermont and Upstate NY? I would be lucky if I actually had to use them. Road crews do a good job in most of VT.
BTW my snows are Yokohama Guardex F720 185/65/15. On their 3rd season, and I am very happy with them.
