By "brakes are fine" do you mean that the wheel was removed and the brakes inspected or do you mean that the car stops when you step on the brake? It could be that the inside brake pad is worn out. (not visible from the outside)
The other possibility is that a CV joint is going bad. Does it make a clicking or thumping noise when making a right turn?
