Heat causing misfiring and stalling...HELP!

Ok...so this epic troubleshooting problem is still going on.
Basically...my car has 2 symptoms now, both involve heat:
When completely warmed up...any dipping into the turbo will cause misfiring and the check engine light to come on. Letting the car sit and cool off will get rid of this symptom for a little while until the car warms up again, then it's back. This can happen on longer highway trips, or in stop and go traffic. Anytime the heat gets up there basically.
If the car is completely warmed up and I idle for too long, the heat rises just a bit more and the engine just stalls. It happened once to me yesterday so I decided to experiment, this I am able to duplicate it seems...at least twice anyway. I can start it again a minute later but the heat will rise again and it will stall again.
When I say completely warmed up I mean the temp gauge is just a tiny bit above horizontal. This seems to be when the symptoms start to occur.
Originally started in November when I drove to New Orleans...as I went further south my problems got worse (Warmer air=Higher engine heat) and as I came back home, the symptoms eventually disappeared. It's still cold here in Toronto right now but it will eventually warm up and I'll have a next to useless car on my hands unless I can figure this one out.
DI cassette has been tried with no luck.
Air filter and sparkplugs are new.
Wastegate was checked.
Any idea what in the engine compartment could be so sensitive to temperature?
