I'm assuming you have ACC as opposed to the dials. I had the dials
On my '96 900S, I could jiggle out the dummy buttons near that heated seat buttons, then remove the seat buttons as well. Then, right above the far left and right edges of the button holes, I could feel the clips/stops the held my climate control panel in place.
WARNING, when removing that panel, there's a spring loaded deal (kinda like what you mount a roll of toilet paper on) between the airflow direction dial on the panel and the control box for the air flow.
When pulling the CC panel out, there was a white circuit board type thing that had like four little lightbulbs on it. Those bulbs were what lit up my CC panel and its dials.
Getting that spring loaded thing back in was tough, but doable.
