Coolant drip from Top of Transmission Posted by saabstory [Email] (#1919) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabstory) on Wed, 12 Nov 2003 05:53:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
While fixing other stuff, I noticed a puddle of antifreeze in a little pocket behind the transmission. As I hunted around, it appeared that it was dripping from a plastic circular "button" stuck in the top of the transmission approximately right on top of the flywheel. This is located to the right of the engine and sort of toward the back of the transmission.
Could someone at least verify that this button thing does exist.
Could someone else explain what this plastic button is, and if it is supposed to be dripping coolant (is it a pressure release check valve or something of the sort?) I am a bit stumped, and haynes does nothing for me.
