I installed the CD changer in the trunk hung below the rear left speaker.
Simply cut holes in the trunk lining and fitted the standard bracket through the holes - no drilling or other fixing needed. Advantage of this is that the changer is off the trunk floor and safe from any rolling objects and it barely has any effect on trunk capacity. The changer is not fixed solidly to the bodywork (just hanging from the lining) and thus does not get the full vibrations of the body.
The large magnet in the speaker seems to have no effect on changer performance.
I much prefer this to losing the glovebox - I might change CDs twice a month so it is not a big deal.
