Alignment Shop Needed for Tire Eating 9-5

I've modded my 1999 Saab 9-5 (2.3 lpt w/ 5 spd and 101k miles) by swapping out the worn out original shocks and springs for a used set from a 2001 Aero. The ride is definitely improved and I may go for the sway bar upgrade later too. Even before this, I've had alignment problems and doubted the abilities of several shops in the area. I've had to bring print-outs of the WIS shop manual sections to help out the tire monkey who said certain things weren't adjustable on the car. Anyway, even before the mod, which only lowers the car by 1" or less, I've had excessive wear and scalloping on the inner edges of the rear tires. Seems like a toe-in problem to me, but the latest tire guy says it's within specs far as toe-in but borderline on the camber which I know is adjustable with Saab shims if needed. My latest thought has been to resort to a dealer shop and take it to VOB Saab in Rockville who says they can do an alignment for $89, just like ever other shop (even though their Parts Dept. would have to order the shims.)
So, anybody have similar problems with a 9-5? I've spent too much on sets of 50,000 mile Dunlops that barely make it to 10,000 miles!! Anybody have a tire shop or tech that knows this car and how to make it align right or have the technical knowledge and desire to figure out why it couldn't be done?
Thanx,
Kirk D.
