Well, it's coming together! In fact, there are so many great roads I know of out by me, sadly I've had to cut some out -- otherwise, it's just way too long. I did a test run today, and found that by the end of the day, I was way too tired, so some just had to go...
But that just means more untapped roads for the next Fun Run!
So here's the plan: Rather than meeting in Marshall, Va., we'll be starting and finishing in Warrenton, with the midway point in Marshall. There we'll stop for lunch at Foster's Grill -- a fantastic burger joint! Also served are chicken, hot dogs and of course salads for the veggies out there!
We'll continue on through the foothills of the Blue Ridge reaching Upperville then back through The Plains, and ultimately back in Warrenton for ice cream at the Carousel.
Date: Sunday, June 25th
Time: Be "there" at 10:30 am
Place: "There" is the parking lot of Tractor Supply Company, in Warrenton, Va. -- see link below.
What to bring:
1 Driver
1 Saab ;-)
Optional co-driver
And of course, your enthusiasm!
If you have a GMS/GPRS walkie-talkie radio, that would be most helpful!
With a lunch, I expect we'll be finished around 2:30 or so, but given that we finish up at an ice cream joint, many will stay on to enjoy the sweets there, and engage in general Saab chat!
Looking forward to it!
