Eric,
I'm more of a 16v guy as well, but we'll work with what we've got.
He does have some "water retention" issues at the moment -- or lack thereof. Seems he's constantly filling it. No leaks on the ground (or so he tells me), so it looks like I'll be doing a headgasket this weekend. Need to get the car up-to-snuff before we start hot rodding, but should be fun once it's set. (Oh, BTW, it's a manual).
I love sleepers! Sounds like a blast! As for the Focus race, I did the same kind of thing to a Mitsubishi Eclipse in the SE Convertible. The kid was NOT happy! Now that we've repainted it, I've left all the badging off. No indication what it has! Converted to manual transmission, its a real screamer now!
Well, if you find an 8v turbo that's seen better days, hold onto the exhaust manifold, turbo and DP if you can! They're getting hard to find, and we'll need it for his car when the time comes. ;-)
Jim M.
