The black metal trim around the the backseat window edges, &inbetween the backseat &front seat windows on my '85 900 SPG were faded pretty bad, all oxidized looking &kinda grayish. I have tried to take care of this before with washing &applying armorall protectant, but that only fixes it for a day or so, then wears off and looks all faded again. SO today, I used some turtle wax liquid rubbing compound and apllied with paper towels, and then removed with a felt type cloth and WOW!...brought that old worn out trim back to life, it removed all the oxidized paint &shined it up nice, I also used some on my side mirrors (even thought it doesnt reccomend using it on plastics), it made a big diference, after I applied some Mothers back to black on the mirrors to add a finishing touch. It all came out great!! Just thought I would post my findings, maybe someone else whos faded black window trim bugs them can find this usefull!
