WASH - I prefer 100% cotton chenille mitts or pure lambswool mitts. You need at least two to wash a car properly. And have a couple extra on hand as backup's.
DRY - Nothing, I mean nothing beats a microfiber towel. The waffle weave towels are the most absorbent. There are several good sources such as Microfibertech.com or Pakshak.com.
WAX - There are many good applicators. Those foam discs are fine, cotton terry apps are my pref, microfiber apps are great, and one of my faves is the plain ol' kitchen sponge (no ScotchBrite, thank you).
Microfibers rules the day when it comes to wax removal. No more cotton towels for me!!
I would waste the $$ at Griots. For basic tools as towels and apps Griots is staggeringly overpriced. There's virtually nothing they sell which cannot be bought elsewhere for much lower cost.
