Winter conditions ... to wash or not to wash?

With winter approaching, the hose put away, salt on the roads, wondering the best strategy. I've got Klasse AIO covered with 3 coats SG.
This treatment won't be repeated till later next spring.
Am I better off with occasional auto wash or pay to spray, or less often wash and leave he salt and dirt and other crap on my car?
Or put another way, what's worse, abusive wash or leaving dirt and salt on for longer periods? Fact is the car will be dirty again in a day or two.
I'm thinking if I leave it the Klasse can do it's job - protect the paint.
Sadly my car will be wintering out-of-doors, no garage this winter (maybe a good thing).
