You should document this with the construction company too and ask for reimbursement of your costs. This happens a lot in my business (architecture) and the construction company may be willing to cover the cost of cleaning and detailing. Depends on the circumstances. When Bill Gates was building his mega-house in the Seattle area, the sitework and construction was so disruptive and dirty that he covered the cost of repeatedly cleaning his neighbors' cars for a couple of years.
