I apply the Griot's Garage One Step Paint Sealant once a year. Sometimes twice, if the October weather is nice and the sun comes out for awhile.
The paint still beads even a year later. My cars are garaged and hand washed, so your results may vary.
I do my cars by hand as paint sealant really does take that much elbow grease. It is pretty much wipe on and wipe off. If you have to work to shine the sealant then you are using too much. The trick is to think thin uniform coating.
